The changing economic times demand newer strategies that must work to profit the enterprise. Companies are employing new ways to accomplish this although some of these ways are not really new so to speak, but just re-engineered to suit the situation. Whatever would be the need, network marketing business is one of these techniques being used today.

The commercial environment has its share of negative publicity especially when considering some of the tools and techniques that were gullible to the unsuspecting public. In fact approaches like multi-level marketing (MLM) have many questions both socially and legally. Plainly MLM are just legalized pyramid schemes. These have been known to indicate questionable commercial practices that eventually leave most of the people involved empty handed when these schemes finally collapse

As a prerequisite a firm constitutes a sales force. This group of people takes off on a distributor recruitment drive. Generally the more people that the team brings in as distributors the more the commission earned. Furthermore compensation is also based on the sales that these recruits make and so there are typically various levels of compensation.

How about the company paying one to access their reticulation. In this case the reticulation may consist of family members and other close acquaintances. Generally the word of mouth from a trusted person is a very powerful selling technique. In this way the products will get their way into the reticulation.

Whenever this happens the person concerned can also discover that there are other enterprise opportunities within this circle of family or close acquaintances. This becomes a business opportunity for the company as well. This just indicates the reason a company will avoid the internet or online communication to rely on this prospecting technique

When comparing this approach to others like MLM, a clear demarcation can be established in a number of areas. For example would it be worth to be sought or go seeking or how about job changing versus establishing a business and having a life at the same time. Well it may also be a choice between recruiting or prospecting or even talking to people to join the business rather than the continuous follow ups.

Sales are at the center of the network marketing business approach. Once the firm has a trusted link within the circle of acquaintances then opportunities will continue to open up for their products. Generally knowing who to sell to is important as not all those within the circle may show equal interest in the products. With such an approach the fantasies and illusions that have captured many can be carefully avoided.
