For those who have never attended an online marketing seminar, you are being left behind. It is understandable what you are thinking...
"Seminars are costly." That's true. They are. A number of them cost well over $5,000. Even those who cost less are still around $2,000.
"It's a pain in the butt to attend." Again, that's fair. In order to go, you have to get on a plane and fly somewhere. And you have to take time from your work and family to do it.
But, Here are three reasons that attending workshops ought to be in your priority list (even when you do not intend to do a major product launch).
1. You're Surrounded By Like-minded People. Jeer if you would like. But, what I'm saying is, there's huge POWER in being around people that has the same as you are. Even today, my friends and family don't really get the things I do. They would nod their heads and smile, but I can tell their eyes are glazing over. Well, think about coming to a party with some hundred people who apart from not understanding what you do, they are doing it, too! You will be surprised about how inspiring that can be.
2. You Meet People who Inspire and Drive You. Yes, that might sound flighty. But when you are having some drinks with someone and talking about strategies on what's working, your mind blows. It makes you wishing you'd brought your laptop so that you can start taking action right then and there! And here's something better... you exchange numbers (yep, bear in mind that thing you used to use prior to being a recluse?) and follow-up with each other. That's accountability, and it can drive you to a major success.
3. You Remove Yourself from the Daily Routine. Ever wake up and have difficulty getting your brains function? And when you finally DO get your brain to function, you do not seem to get any momentum? It happens to me all the time. I'll awaken and the day will pass without me getting done even one truly productive thing! It stinks. I'll tell you why it happens to me...
I get bored of my routine! Now, don't misunderstand me. Routines are great. Actually, they are VERY IMPORTANT to your ability to succeed. Humans need routine. But, it's just as vital to get away from your routine. And going to a seminar does that for you. It can get you away from your boring daily routine. Going to a seminar can provide your brain (and motivation) the jump-start it requires.
I'm not trying to sell you on a seminar here. I'm only trying to get you to think about going to one. There are a lot of benefits to going. Benefits that aren't always clear until you're there, in the hallways, in the bars, at lunch... talking with folks who are doing EXACTLY what you are doing. It's empowering. It's inspiring. And chances are, once you attend a seminar, you'll be excited to go to another.
